Welcome to Shoreline Cal Ripken
We are a non-profit volunteer organization committed to youth baseball for the Connecticut Shoreline towns of Essex, Deep River, Chester, Old Lyme, Old Saybrook and Westbrook, Higanum, Killingworth and beyond.
In December 2007 - Shoreline Cal Ripken received national charter approval from the Cal Ripken Division, a division of Babe Ruth Baseball.
April 2008 - SCR launched first season with 3 Major Super 70 teams, competing with teams from Salem, Preston, & Ledyard.
June 2008 - SCR enters 12U All-Star team in post season tournament. Team competed in both District 6 and CT Cal Ripken State Tournament.
April 2009 - SCR starts second season with 4 Major Super 70 teams and 1 Travel Minor 60 team, the Bull Dogs. Bull Dogs finish 1st season with 14-0 record.
June 2009 – SCR enters 12U and 10U All-Star teams in post season tournament. Both teams competed in District 6 and CT Cal Ripken State Tournament. 12U team finishes in top 5 of all CT Cal Ripken teams.
For the 2010 season, SCRL will offer a 12U MAJORS Travel Program featuring a 70-foot Base Path Diamond with 50-foot pitcher's mound and a MINORS 60-foot Travel Program
